<p>Welcoming Refugees Project education partner Little Amal carries a message of hope for displaced people everywhere, especially children who have been separated from their families.</p> <p>Everywhere Little Amal goes, she is greeted with ‘<a class="markdown-link" target="_blank" href="https://www.walkwithamal.org/past-events/">Events of Welcome</a>’: community-created events that are authentic and meaningful to the locals she meets. This could be a parade through a city center, playground games with students at schools, a visit to a place of worship, an outdoor theatre or dance performance, a musical concert, a whole-city art installation, surprise encounters with children and families or ceremonies of welcome led by city mayors or other senior civic officials.</p> <p>Students Rebuild welcomed Amal to the Brooklyn Bridge during her recent trip to New York City and we captured moments from the day.
