“Peace in the Community on Paper” – Exploring Peace Through Art

The “Peace in the Community on Paper” session, a creative workshop conducted at Kyangwali Secondary School by SOLFA (Solve & Flourish Africa). The session engaged 100 students aged 12-18 in using art as a tool to express their understanding of peace, fostering discussions on community harmony, conflict resolution, and personal experiences with peace and chaos. Through drawing, reflection, and storytelling through pictures, students explored diverse interpretations of peace, from unity and education to overcoming conflict and trauma. The session proved highly impactful, reinforcing art’s power in peacebuilding and inspiring future workshops that integrate creativity as a means for healing and social change.
